COLORADO NATIONAL MONUMENT
Come play in our backyard!

Colorado National Monument sits at the end of our quarter-mile driveway. The park's 32 square miles preserve one of the grand landscapes of the American West.

Do it all (or nothing at all) amid the vastness and beauty of these stunning surroundings. Book your stay with us today!

Sheer-walled canyons, towering monoliths, colorful formations, indigenous wildlife and a spectacular road reflect the environment and history of western Colorado's plateau-and-canyon country.

Sculpted by flash floods, freezing and thawing, rainwater and wind over billions of years, these magnificent formations of orange, yellow and red sandstone have been preserved, thanks to turn-of-the-century local residents who campaigned tirelessly for a national park.

Established in 1911 by President William Taft, Colorado National Monument will reward you with a fascinating array of activities, whatever your abilities and interests. Hiking, sightseeing, bicycling, and ranger-led programs are just a few of the exciting choices that await you.

One of the park's hiking trailheads, No Thoroughfare Canyon, begins about a half-mile from Silver Raven Ranch. From here, challenge-seekers can hike eight hours to the park's entrance
a 2,000-foot drop, enhanced by wonders and waterfalls.

Elk, bighorn sheep, deer and the occasional bear thrive in this setting. Soaring bald eagles, golden eagles, turkey vultures, hawks and, yes ravens swoop overhead. Bring your camera and binoculars!

The road to our ranch Rim Rock Drive offers breathtaking views and a parade of geology. Consider that the entire road is only eight miles as the crow flies. It twists and turns dramatically to nearly three times that length -- past breathtaking sandstone monoliths that formed 1.7 billion years  ago.

Spring and fall are the best time for hiking and bicycling. Winter visitors enjoy snow adventures throughout the area, when the park takes on a surreal blanket of white. And there's so much more to do. The park's visitor center and rangers are dedicated to assuring that every park visit is memorable!

Your stay at The Lodge at Silver Raven Ranch includes free park passes for you and your guests.
